Norcold refrigerator door

While traveling the fridge door will jar open slightly and alarm comes on. I can close it and all is fine until the next bump. How do you adjust the latch so it will remain closed? Only happens with the left door.
  • I had to glue a thin plastic shim to the "button" switch that the door pushes on to indicate the door is closed. The door was not coming open it just did not keep the button pushed in far enough.
  • We have found making sure there is nothing on the shelves that will move and bump the door helps and we also only put light weight items on the door storage shelves.
  • There should be a grey deadbolt inside the pull latch recess used to open the door. When you open the door you will see the back side of it. When you slide it with the door open it will stick out past the edge of the door. With the door closed it will fit into a slot in a plate mounted to the fridge frame overlapping the 2 doors. The freezer door will have one too. This will help keep the doors closed while traveling.
