Define "properly." It works for me :) I never expected it to work perfectly, just good enough.
The bank acts as one big battery of some 700AH while camping doing 50-90s. (EG, Trimetric says when it is down about 350AH, unloaded voltage is 12.1v, which is 50% SOC. It recharges just fine too doing 50-90s.
Recharging beyond that is when I have to separate the batteries for getting to 100% individually.
I agree having now seen the results, the three 12s with Method 2 is not proper and it is not good enough for a long time on solar with the middle battery losing ground like that. So I am changing it.
If I had not noticed the middle battery was not keeping up, I would have left it as one big bank for on solar too, so if anybody else is in that situation, he can decide if he might need to do something about it.
