I tried to convince some people at Samlex that what they really need was a vehicle alternator input that would accept input voltage from as low as 12.0VDC so that you could recharge the battery bank (at least partially) while driving. (Yes, this means they would have to have a boost converter before feeding the DC to their internal charge controller.
