I spoke with some people at Samlex. Their primary target was utility vehicles that occasionally needed 120VAC and long haul truckers who needed 120VAC in their sleepers. I think RVs and boats were kind of an afterthought.
For people installing their first inverter in an RV I think it is great. The wiring is super simple with all the connections made at the inverter/charger/transfer switch.
House batteries connect to #1 and #2. Output from solar charge controller (if you have one) connect to #3 and #4.

Yes, they are expensive. I ASSUME they are competitive with similar products from Magnum and Victron.
