Odyssey/Diehard platinum Parallax 7345 question.

My new to me cummins van uses a single Sears P2 Diehard Platinum battery. I installed a relayed fused power wire from the van battery to my 7 blade connector so my TT battery is now wired to the van battery and charging system when driving.

We know the Diehard Platinum is a premium (AGM) battery by Odyssey. I'm a long time loyal user in my motorcycles and would like to replace all my lead acid batteries with AGM's when they fail.

I use a batteryminders charger which Odyssey approves for maintenance, but my question is which automatic charger should I consider for my TT? Can I upgrade my Parallax 7345 with a smart-charger to charge one or two paralleled Diehard Platinum battery's (van & TT) when on shore or generator power? Or should I replace the Parallax 7345?

Thanks

What do the battery specs say they should be charged at? The 7345 is a singles stage 13.8v charger. One member here swears by his for his AGMs as that is their spec voltage. But AGMs vary.

the stock 7345 converter/chargeris woefully inadequate for any kind of battery long term, let alone for something of the caliber of an Odyssey/AGM battery. They will cook a flooded battery and undercharge an AGM. These converters are still used today because they are cheap, not because they are good for your battery

That Charge Wizard technology looks nice. But I don't see the Charge Wizard on ODYSSEY Approved 12V Charger ListingNor does the charge wizard mention AGM batteries

Now looking, my batteryminder is only barely approved for my smaller motorcycle batteries and I would need a bigger charger to maintain the larger Die Hard Platinum. Which I'm sure likes the same charge characteristics as the odyssey's link And looking closer.. No chargers other than the odyssey chargers actually gives the needed amperage. 40-50 amps for the larger odyssey!

Turns out using your tow vehicle battery for anything other starting is a bad idea. I'm looking at Hellroaring BIC-75150A and BIC-75300A Battery Isolator/Combiners but wondering if its worth tying the 12v TT to the TV battery. I thought it would be nice to have the same batteries in both the TT and TV and be able to charge both and use both easily, but maybe I should consider a different battery(s) for the TT. and continue my ritual running around every morning tangled in charger cords when I run the generator.
