- JiminDenverExplorer IIAfter looking at the second link, I have to agree that it's fake. The guts look like the tracer fake MPPT units that were out when I first started looking.
The first one he shows at least looks like it has the coil needed. - BFL13Explorer IIAccording to this, it is "not fully MPPT." Not clear. One feedback says it is PWM. Have to do more digging.

http://blog.vondroid.com/?p=2880 - Old___SlowExplorerMex,
Are you trying to throw a wet blanket on my soon to be four controllers for my three panels? I guess you aim to please:W. Well out of the cheapo 12/24v PWM on the 24v 100w panel, the meter read 28.3 into the 24v batts. (2x 12v ea in series) Only problem, it draws down the batts at night?? Can't find the right number yet. Going with my 15a MPPT as a next trial. Also el cheapo.
O-$S - MEXICOWANDERERExplorerNow yer catchin' on !!!
For the first five years I controlled charge rate by throwing successive towels on the panels. I did have a voltmeter next to my chair. Got so good, I sat in the chair and tossed 'em. All they had to do was shade part of a panel (they were on the ground). - Old___SlowExplorerI have to hide all those messages from EBay like 'this item is on the way from HK' so DW doesn't notice the crazy old man she lives with is at it again.:B And this RJ guy should get EBay salesman of the year. Don't you think?? Yeah, got lot's of stuff to 'test' soon after the slow boat from China arrives. Fun Fun

BFL...Say it isn't so! - JiminDenverExplorer IIThe instructions are listed at the bottom of the page I linked. I believe the charge cut off is 14.4v for 12v.
