We all learn from our mistakes, Just some can co$t more money.....
I have a SMALL Honda 650 watt generator. I love that little Honda, mainly use it for JUST the converter when boondocking on my 93 Pace. Don't like to run that 7.5 Kubota!!!
I was out in front of the house on a weekend. I had the Honda 650 connected to the shore cable & she was running normal.... NOT THINKING...I was checking out the air cleaner & I revved the bugger...OH &#%$....Over Rev = Over voltage!!!!
STUPID MOVE!
I lost just two items...Microwave & DirecTV box up front. Opened the buggers up & found that BOTH where protected with a MOV (Metal Oxide Varistors)They break circuit if they see overvoltage. A whopping $2.90 each! Both back up & running in minutes....NEVER AGAIN!
