OK Thanks for the response and I'll check out those links. Background: The gen output is 117V and I know that I need to measure both legs and 240V for completeness, it may be several days before I can do that.
The above voltage would normally be OK but it's unfortunately restricting my Magnum ME 2012 DC amp output. Magnum has confirmed that they made a design/cost tradeoff and the maximum rated amps will only occur when there is 120V at the unit AC input terminals. I've measured the 100A charger output at 80A with 116V AC. Therefore I'd like to increase the gen voltage if possible/practical so that I get the maximum bulk charge when using the gen with less gen run time.
Pushing a button to change the voltage seemed so simple. If changing a locked potentiometer is required as I've read for other models then I'd want to know the procedure before jumping in.
And I do have 3 DVMs one of which is a Fluke.
