I used Mobil 1 High Mileage Synthetic 10W-40. (I'm pretty sure that the 4KY doesn't have an oil filter.)
. My generator leaked a lot when I switch to synthetic oil. I went back to regular oil and after two years of leaking it is slowly starting to seal itself again.
