Thanks for bringing the thread back toward the oil consumption issue :-)
Toward the end of this weekend I hope to have the opportunity to inspect the breather valve. After that - particularly lf it doesn't solve the problem - I'll try and find a good small engine mechanic who can take a look at some of the other suggestions here. Unfortunately I'm in Snowflake, Arizona now so my options are a bit limited, but I'll be headed toward Albuquerque in a few weeks and may have time for a trip to Show-Low, AZ in between.
Is is safe to continue occasional use of my generator while the high oil consumption issue is outstanding? (Adding oil as needed, of course.)
