Toward the end of this weekend I hope to have the opportunity to inspect the breather valve. After that - particularly lf it doesn't solve the problem - I'll try and find a good small engine mechanic who can take a look at some of the other suggestions here. Is is safe to continue occasional use of my generator while the high oil consumption issue is outstanding? (Adding oil as needed, of course.)
Again, are you screwing the dip stick fully in and then removing it to check oil level??
