Onan carb fix
I have a 5500 onan in my new fuzion and it's always had a lean pop out the exhaust and would surge when not under a load. I am a diesel tech and refused to buy into the fact these carbs can't be clean...

I buy a cheap Japanese car muffler and use that - $20 - $30 usually. I bought a non-running Onan for $100. It came with a pristine muffler. I sold the muffler for $250, bought some parts to repair the gen for $65 and now have a working gen that's just as quiet.
