If receptacle is dead, follow wiring toward genset. Normally should have junction box adjacent to it where wiring types are changed.
Power at receptacle. Turn off all circuit breakers in the 120 volt distribution panel applying light pressure toward off. Then turn main breaker on followed by branch breakers one at a time.
I agree with Bud on this one. You are going to have to start at the beginning of the power source and start tracing back until you lose power and then determine why you lost it. Time consuming, but you will find the problem and know your system better. JMO
