Problem solved!! I had a code 46 which indicates low battery,no power,
corroded cables or other. In my case---I had installed new house batteries and did not realize that when the old batteries went bad that the generator control set a code 46--now I know!! I went online and found someone who advised how to reset and remove the code.
Here is the how to reset and remove the code if you have corrected the problem. Hold the stop button at the generator down for 30 seconds and then run the generator for 15 minutes then shut it down and check for any codes---no more codes!!! Thanks everyone for your input. Hope this helps someone else.
