Ok so this is what I found out. The gen-set cranks of the house battery only. I have to dig up my volt-ohm meter and check the status of the house battery.
It just doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to me that it would start and run good for 60 seconds or so and then shut down because of low battery voltage but I don’t have any experience working on generators. Oh and it also set a code 12 this time.
It has 496 hrs on it so it’s time to replace the fuel pump and the fuel filter. I need to do this regardless but I would really like to figure out why it runs good for a short time and then shuts down.
I can't remember the codes but mine would start but being gummed up it would over rev spiking the voltage and the system was shutting the eng off due to high voltage. It never failed to start but would not stay running.
