Good suggestions already. Our 2003 Class C also has an Onan Microlite 4000 generator, probably the same model as yours. One thing I always do first when doing the monthly exercising is to press and hold the "Stop/Prime" side of the start switch on the generator itself. Within 1-2 seconds the fuel pump starts to run, which verifies that the pump functions and after running for a few seconds assures that the carburetor bowl is full.
