onan spark arrester

Has anyone had any experience on cleaning/servicing the spark arrester on an ONAN QD8000 generator? I know it needs done, but i just cant seem to find the location of the brass plug that needs to be removed and the procedure to clean it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    WOW...got it. Thank-you for the help. Really was an easy task once i found out what to do. I was a little concerned because my onan has 947hrs. on it and it has never been done. Once i took the plug out, i saw it had very little soot on it.

    I cleaned it on my onan 7.5. I needed a long extention and socket to remove and get to it. Wasn't much soot in it. Not difficult on mine, but I had to get a flashlight and look higher up to find it. the 8 might be similar.
