Thanks, smk. I think I get it now.
Next step, then. Let's say I get the batteries and inverter now, and then later I add on solar panels. What will that change? Is the charge controller in addition to the converter, or does it replace the converter?
Anything else to consider if I don't get solar at the same time as the battery bank and new inverter?
