Hi Jeff,
I'm traveling with the wrong computer--so I can't look up the details. Basically it is an external diode that connects to the OEM alternator--taking a lot of the load off the internal diodes of the alternator.
It is a much cheaper alternative than a 2nd alternator--but of course the 2nd alternator would be even better. (ouch on price). external rectifier

Can you give an example of the external charging module? Is this like a second alternator of the fan belt, optimized for the AGM batteries?
What do you mean by "balanced?" Same lengths of wires all around so there's no difference in resistance? Anything else?
