Any measurable benefit to using 4/0 wire instead of 1/0 wire? I think the total run from each terminal will be about 3' to the inverter. Even over such a short run, the cost difference is a bit steep, factoring in thicker wire and heavier lugs.
According to the specs on a set I saw, the 1/0 is good for 1500W inverters and the 4/0 is good for 5000W. I'll never need a 5000W inverter, but if it will really make a difference over such a short run, I might go ahead and get the bigger cables.
