One large inverter or 2-3 small ones?

I'd suggest the Victron monitor instead of the Magnum.

There are some configuration settings that can ONLY be done with the Magnum remote panel. I'd suggest getting the Magnum panel.

I agree, I don't think 4/0 is necessary for that short run. 1/0 can do 242 amps and the voltage drop over 3 ft at 150 amps is well under 1%. If you ever need more amp capacity you can add two more 1/0's (you can do this per NEC code).
