Hi Jeff,
I added a dedicated inverter powered outlet in the kitchen area. It's good to have when I'm on 15 amp-shore power, for running the toaster, coffee maker, and other appliances especially as I often do not have access to the shore power breaker box.
My inverter "lives" on the wall in the space behind the driver's seat in my class C, which happily is just above the OEM battery bank. This consumes otherwise useless space. The disconnect switch(es) are on the wall beside the OEM storage switch.
Just above that is the solar charge controller and sitting on the top of that I have one Hall Effect ammeter to monitor charging from the alternator.
