The fuse needs to be not far from the battery. Putting unfused cable through the floor is probably a bad idea. My fuses are mounted on the buss bar. This obviated the need for a holder.
I would not be wanting to pull a fuse. Since the inverter is not really "off" even when the switch on it says "off", I prefer to have a switch.
