Hi Jeff,
You have an on demand heater that works on 12 volt? Or do you mean it is a propane where the control board is 12 volt?
Smk's recirculation system could still be made to work with the on demand heater--just have the potable water return to the fresh water tank. In fact, there would be no need for a circulating pump if there were a valve that was thermostatically controlled.
