Hi Jeff,
If using electric heat for anti freeze it is necessary to plan for "worst case" I.E. the heat tape running "flat out". That way there will be enough battery capacity. Running out of "juice" could be an expensive learning curve depending on the failure point.
BTW the last time I filled my propane tank was Feb 2012, so I think I qualify as a certified propane miser. I don't have a generator. And I use the RV at least 60 nights per year while driving 1000 miles per month.
