Don't really have time to look into the details right now, but here's some 12v heat tape in 3W/foot and 5W/foot. http://www.heatline.com/kompensator.htm
At 5W/ft for about 20', this is in the realm of use if I have a 690AH battery bank. I can run the generator to recharge if I had to, but obviously the goal is to avoid that.
Any experience with this?
