5w per foot is in line with 120v tape. Although it is self regulating so draw increases as it gets colder. look for 6w per foot as it dips close to zero.
You may need more heat than you think as 5w/ft is really for ~3/4" copper not 1.5" to 3" waste lines. I think I used 50% longer on the 1.5" and wrapped it around the pipe in a spiral. Even more was used for the 3" to have about 1" spacing. Even wrapped with some foam insulation the heat is marginal at best.
Ultra heat uses 55w per foot but I don't think you need every foot covered with UH system.
