Hi Jeff,
How big is your propane tank? Flame on time for the furnace burns one pound per hour.
I'd suggest a "stay a while" connection with an auxiliary tank to be used when the RV is standing still.
When trundling down the road, if I run the cabin heat on defrost air does circulate to the back of the class C to keep it warm. The upside is propane is saved. The down side of that is that the furnace fan does not run and the fresh water system may freeze up.
I tried various and sundry means of preventing that--but even a 1500 watt heater inside the cabinets did not work. What did work was the dual window fans replacing the cold air return grill. By luck this created a small amount of air flow through the duct work. I drilled through the fan casing and used four screws to keep the fan in place.
Here is a fan (be sure to get one with mechanical switches not fancy electronic controls) similar to what I got at Walmart.
