Yeah. Now I feel like an idiot for not realizing that! :) Good...that'll keep me from having to rewire that part. I'll just have to make sure the family remembers to turn off the inverter once the genny kicks in.
Of course, if I want to charge the batteries with the generator, that means the 120v line running from right behind the cab all the way to the rear bedroom to the converter, then a 12v line running from there to the middle of the rig where the batteries will be. That'll probably take a 15' run...long way for DC. (Right now there are 6ga lines from the battery to the inverter...pretty small.)
Would it be worth moving the ATS to before the inverter? The shore power and genny into the ATS, the ATS output to the inverter? Then either would pass-thru while also charging the batteries on a very short run.
