I have not been following for a while so this may not apply, but it seems the ingredients are now similar to my set-up, which works great.
I have the 100amp charger and big inverter up by the batteries on short fat wires. I still have the oem converter that I use on shore power. Got some solar too. It is a sort of inverter/charger deal in a way.
I only use the 100amp charger for fast charging with the Honda 3000 powering it. I could use it as "the converter" too. The 100amps does not go to the rest "of the 12v system", it just goes to the batteries. However the battery voltage does go to the rest of the system.
I can turn off solar and the oem converter while charging with the 100amper but don't have to.
