Operating slide using generator no batteries

Headed out to the trailer and need to put out the slide.

My two 6v batteries are in the basement staying warm!

Can I take my Yamaha 2400is generator and operate the slide and leave the batteries at home??

Not sure is the "open" battery circuit matters.

    Or, if you can get close enough, use your jumper cables from the Pathfinder and connect to your battery leads.

    With batteries in, the slide motor positive wire is connected to the converter's positive wire on the pos battery post, so there is a path from converter to slide motor.

    No battery, you have to join those two pos wire ends to complete the path. Vice grip pliers is one way to hold them together. The neg path is ok since each is on the frame.
