Does the tv work if you are parked, ENGINE OFF, and generator off? If so your inverter is working.
IF the TV is mounted in view of the driver, as many TV's are in class A's (it is in an overhead compartment above the dash, True, It's mighty uncomfortable for me to look at it while driving, but it is also possible) then there is an interlock to prevent it from working when I'm driving.
This is by federal law.
State laws prohibit it being on while driving as well.
You can move the plug on the TV to the outlet used for the Sat Receiver or some other inverter powered outlet in that same area if you MUST have the TV on while engine running (Example, if you have a rooftop sat antenna and you need to position so it has the needed view of the sky). But I will warn you that police officers think they are overworked, and underpaid, and your very expensive vehicle means that in their eyes you have too much money, so give 'em an excuse and they will happily write you that ticket.
I was a dispatcher, I worked harder and earned less pay.
