- spadoctorExplorer IIclean your blades with a cloth rag and alcohol to remove the dirt
- JIMNLINExplorer IIIMy wiper blades seldom need to be replaced. I wash my vehicles wind shield a couple of times a month with Dawn dish washing soap/water mixture that I keep in a bucket in the garage. I scrub the rubber blades also and wipe dry
About twice a year I carefully pull the rubber blades out and turn them around. - mcheroExplorerGreat suggestion! It's time I replace my blades as well.
- Dakota98ExplorerBOSCH ICON !!! They are great blades, current set have been on my rig now for three years, still work perfect.
- BlacklaneExplorerBosch Icon blades are expensive, but well worth it.
- Shadow_CatcherExplorerI have had better luck with Bosch than Trico or Rain-x. I do use Rain-X washer fluid which does contain a small amount of silicone oil which helps protect the rubber on the blades. I live and travel mostly in the northern states so heat and ozone (factors in rubber failure) is less.
I have in the past used Armorall on rubber which contains silicone to protect rubber, do NOT however use this with out Rain-X it can really cause some interesting effects on glass.
