I am thinking of installing my Wi-Fi router in a waterproof box behind my camper rather than running coax inside. Will the signal stay strong as it passes through a plastic box and the aluminum trail...
Microwave propagation is a tricky subject. Some materials absorb others reflect. WiFi reaches your devices by line of sight and also by reflection. Aluminum siding is going to prevent line of sight but consider windows, the fiberglass door, possibly rubber or fiberglass roof, etc. Any opening that more than 12" across WiFi can fit through.
