I suggest you trash it and look up Ubiquiti stuff. They make some fantastic hardware both indoor and outdoor type. This includes both routers, clients (Wi-Fi Adapters) and Access Points (With an AP your router is indoors but the AP can be outdoors) Some of their hardware has extended range.. Up to 40 miles over clear ground. using like hardware on both ends.
