What make and model LCD TV is it that you are using that draws 2 amps? Thanking you in advance.

I checked power draw on my 4 year old (Costco) 19" Toshiba LCD TV/DVD Combo.

24 watts. on TV.
27.5 watts on with TV and internal DVD running.
.6 watts on standby.
