The exterior gel coat seems to be gone, the camper is down to just bare fiberglass.What is the best solution?Anyone who has done this I'd be interested to hear results, since I already know ideas.I was thinking to just apply a clear coat over the fiberglass. The entire outer body is fiberglass. Not sure if a rattle can will produce god enough results or I would just do that as easiest option. I have a paint gum I have never used, would that be worth the extra effort?

You can not do a good job with a spray can or an electric spray gun (not a fine enough spray or enough output).You need a proper air powered spray gun and previous experience to do a good job.

It's hard to believe you are down to fiberglass.Any chance your gel coat is shot?

There are some of us that put the shine back on our coaches with Zip Wet Look or Red Max Pro. The coating lasts 3-5 years depending on location. It leaves a real tight finish that is easy to wash and bug removal is easy.

Haven't heard of that. Do tell…

I dont know enough about Gel Coats. It looks like just the fiberglass, maybe it is just dull gel coat. The inside is all shinny with a depth look to it.
It is a 2005 year. I don't know the variations of coats to tell more.

Smarts would be take it to a professional body shop and have them refinish the gel coat.... and don't paint it, Roamers are supposed to be in Gel Coat white.

My upstairs maid was arguing with my Tuesday koi pond water tester and they were talking about how it is better to never do anything yourself. I had my brunch chef to go tell them I agree, but the car wash guy came a day early and wanted to be paid anyway. When my IT guy posted this he forgot to mention that I have an auto body guy that always does my dents, but I just wanted to be able to argue with him. Sometimes I just watch.
