2 AWG is the largest the controller can handle, so if I go that route I have to accept that it's the best I could do. At least two of the panels will be fully exposed at all times.
Series could be an option if I removed the front Max air cover and parked with the nose south.
I'm hardly the first to allow more than a inch clearance under the panels.
