Salvo is right, I am ignorant of many things, thank goodness there is still more to be learned. I had to accept that I could not get a degree for every hat that I've worn for the company I own, I'd still be in school doing it for even half of them. I also find it's nice not being limited by education and preconceived notions.
Don is right too, I love the testing. I don't want to know the answer, I want to know why it is the answer. Sometimes once you understand the why, you find out it isn't the answer at all.
There is a better chance here in Denver that I will get the cloudless days to do the testing than where we camp. It will be a while before the panels are mounted but I can learn a lot in the yard.
I'll find a good balance between cost and production with the wiring. Cash isn't a issue as the sale of the old system is footing the bill, still I don't wish to waste it.
My situation is unique in the altitude and weather. That's why I am testing, designing and tweaking for it. It's a situation most never see, much less test for.
BFL, the side effect of getting the respectable controller to take care of what ever batteries I decide on is that it will produce all of those nifty logs and graphs that people understand and accept better, especially when the results are outside of the norm. Setting it up makes me miss the simplicity of the Eco-w.
Thanks again for the advice and the discussion. Always fun. :)
