Parts for 8500 slide topper

Question

A&amp;E system.Rods that go thru springs broke and end caps are egg shaped. Think they would have addressed the egg shaped issue because almost all failures shows caps getting wore out and binding slide topper getting pulled or ripped out of slide. No repair parts available so you just throw a $700.00 dollar piece away and purchase a $900.00 plus slide topper.Guess they engineered a way of "Repeat" business

I doubt it's less about planned obsolescence and more about continually better designs and no profit on maintaining parts for the older ones.

I agree that the Manufacturer probably determined there little or no profit in repair parts which they are free to do. Just the way the cookie crumbles unfortunately. I “cut down” what I do professionally too.&nbsp;
