Order it from Best Converters or Amazon. My hunch is none of the dealers will have it in stock and just order it anyway.

The PD owners on here are forever bragging about their converters compared with the peons who have other brands, so it must be surprising to them that one actually broke and needs replacing. :) I suppose the OP will be black-balled from the PD club for disgraceful behaviour. Might as well get a PowerMax like I have so at least he will have some friends.

No, it would be to replace the WFCO that came on our new Sunseeker. We are dry camping, have only 100w solar, and had some clouds. I figured since I was going to be changing to something better someday, why not now? I did find one in stock but he wanted full list, $276. Yikes. We have only a few more days of dry camping so I guess I'll wait and plan things out a bit.Yesterday we started out at 12.0v, and I had to run the Onan for 3+ hours, just to get the batteries to a point where I thought the solar could finish me off to at least 80%. As it turned out, I did better than that. This AM we are sitting at 12.4v so with any good sun today I should be in good shape.I feel the WFCO performed poorly. I know there are tricks to getting it to boost mode, and I'll have to research that here. Unless anyone cares to post it. :) Probably it wouldn't boost because I already had solar charging coming in when I fired up the gen. Anyway, then I added the MexHarborCharger to the mix and between all of them working against each other I was able to get a whopping 20a. :/ I knew I should have brought the B&D 40a charger but I was trying to save space. I just didn't count on a cloudy day in AZ. :) Anyway, it's all good today, and if I get drawn down to 12.0 again, I'll see what I can do to fool the WFCO into boost. Still, when I get home, that WFCO is done for.

my wfco went stupid would start up @ 14.6 then rapidly cycle from 14.4 - 13.6 drove me nuts and was not charging the batts well. So now have the Powermax

OK, thanks. That is goofy. I don't have a means of generating such a load, so I guess I'm stuck with 13.6v for now.

To get WFCO to boost you need to load it enough to drop the voltage AT THE WFCO converter lower than 13.2 volts. This will take a load about 15a greater than the WFCO rating. Not easily done without a big inverter or a small WFCO.

Van's rv in Phx has them on the shelf but I bought a Powermax Boondocker 4 stage from Best Conv and had it in 2/3 days. It's a good unit. Installed right into my wfco panel.

Yeah, we are getting diddly squat from the solar panels today. About 13 watts. Well, at least it's probably keeping up with the parasitic loads. Looks like I might have to run the genset later.

Next week the sunny warm weather comes back. We will have electric then, too.

I've been to most the TUS dealers, and wouldn't buy a roll of breath mints from two of those listed... Buy it online and have it shipped.

We have about 300 days of sunshine in the desert. Unfortunately for you, this week included a couple of the other 65, but we really needed the rain.
