I have to say my PD treated the batteries much more gently than the Magnum inverter/charger. Or it may have been that 4 of the jars were ten years old and the other 3 six years old.
Solar was even better than the PD.
I did get a wizard for the PD which improved the charging lots. The PD was a 40 amp model but I never saw more than 34 amps, even when I was doing double conversion using my old Cobra inverter to power the RV.
