I think you should give serious look at Xantrex Truecharge series of chargers(40A & 60A) or Prosine 2.0 if inverter/charger desired. Prosine charger section has 100A charging current limit. These chargers are programmable, are pf factor corrected, have a provision for temperature sensor, monitor panels and don't suffer from PD,WFCO,Iota problems.
As for Salvo? Salvo is trying to impress people who can't tell amperhour from ampersand with his formulas. He can't fool some of as engineers. He is arrogant and FOS more often than not. Just ignore him.
