If you find that link again, I'd be interested. The patents didn't seem to state the switching rate, but they did give the RC values that controlled the switching, and I looked up the chart in the specs for the Unitrode 3846 chip to find out what rate those values corresponded to. I've forgotten the freq. I calculated (it may have been 10KHz, but it's very vague), and in any case, I can't be certain that the values listed in the patent were actually used in the production models of the converter.
