Charging a 100AH AGM battery with 55A and a voltage greater than 14.4V exceeds the manufacturers charging spec. The battery doesn't like these conditions and battery voltage will rapidly rise. The Iota's output voltage quickly reaches 14.6V which triggers termination of boost after an additional 15 min of charging.
In addition, the Iota could be defective. As I recall, the converter was replaced at a later time. The Iota drops out of boost after 25 min. That means 14.6V was reached after 5 min of charging or it's defective. It's highly unlikely there's a 1V cable drop.

I call BS. My Iota will NEVER NEVER NEVER drop out of boost in 20 minutes!
