I have been watching this thread for a couple of weeks now and have not participated until yesterday and the reason why was because "someone" posted that if your Iota converter stayed in bulk for more than 20 minutes it was faulty. This post has now been edited. I suspect because it was dead wrong... but whatever. I am not an "EE" but I am an an avid RVer and a boondocker at times and when I needed a new converter I did what was suggested over and over again on this forum and called (yes on the telephone) Randy at Best Converter. I asked him what was the best converter for my situation and his recomondation is what I purchased. He did not suggest a PD converter but an Iota. So I think he either knows the quality of these converters or he is getting a way better proffit margin from them. Maybe we should bring him to the foray and ask him????? As far as how I should charge my 450AH bank I don't really need advise and critism that my converter is too small. My True charge 2 40amp can be turned on at any time to "help" the Iota if need be. It can be turned on to charge at 10% to 100% of it's capacity whenever I need it. My test yesterday was just to put straight that the Iota would not drop out of bulk in 20 minutes and I hope that people looking for a new converter will now know that that the Iota is a exceptional converter that will put out a high state of charge to get your batts up as quick as possible when you are on genny power. I am not a PD knocker just an Iota fan.
I just looked back through the posts before and after you raised your initial objection. I could find no edited posts. Please identify the post to which you were referring.
