The question this raises in my mind is whether the differences referred to here are a result of differences between the converters or differences between the items the converters were connected to (the cables/batteries).
I still have a very very hard time believing that the battery cares whether an Iota or a PD is providing the 14.4 volts that it sees. And I find it hard to believe that the Iota or PD cares whether a battery or a resistor is attached to the far end when the converter is providing a steady DC voltage.
