I'm posting this here from a PM so my answers can be seen by others who've written me about the mods. I'll eventually post a complete writeup, once I pull my modified PD9280.

I have taken it apart. The patent has the schematics. It's very close to the patent. Here's a thread to start you off:
http://forums.trailerlife.com/Index.cfm/fuseaction/thread/tid/26139699.cfm
It has much of the info. I've been meaning to write up the modifications extensively, but haven't had the time. I'll do it, as you are not the first to ask for this info. I made one mod to change the voltage to adjustable - 14.8 is the setting I have now. I made another change to control the current limit. There was a third change described in that thread, but I'm not sure it had any effect. I'll have to refresh my memory on the changes before writing up the mods. I've pulled out my batteries, and will be removing the PD9280 for the winter. That will let me shoot some photos (I have some from the original mods.) Feel free to ask questions, but please ask them in that thread or in a new thread so I don't have to write to so many people asking about the mods. I'm happy to share them.

Hi
I believe you have taken your PD9280 apart
Did you generate a schematic?
Which resister(s) did you change?
I have several PD9100 / 9200 series converters around here and several WFCO 8900 serioes that are the same as the PD stuff even down to the Pendant one calls the interface RCMS one TCMS
If oyu have a schematic or are willing to share your modifications I would be greatefull
Regards
Ken
