I swapped out my original converter with a 60amp PD with charge wizard back in 2005.
Four Sams Club 6v GC batteries (with 2005 dates) still going strong! I'm out here in NH. & keep the rig outside. Add small amount of distilled beginning of season. No watering system or special caps. Never remove for winter storage.
OH, I also have to say that I was driving the Pace thru Vegas on one of my coast to coast trips. It was about 120 deg. that day. Swung by Hover Dam (missed the dam tour) then pulled into the Sam's Town RV resort for the night. Had 50 amp full hookups. I noticed shortly after connecting 50 amp cable I was not getting a charge to the house batteries (Trimetric in closet).
I looked under the bed & that PD was hotter than a Cherynobile Reactor Core! The fan was NOT running! I thought it was toasted!!!
I unplugged. Weh I get to Camarillo CA the next day I hook up to a 20amp I just for yucks I plug the PD in and it runs as if nothing had ever happened! WoooHooo!:B
