The Iota with the IQ4 does bulk at 14.8 until battery reaches 14.6 (the "trigger") then after another 15 minutes it drops to 14.2 Vabs.
(PowerMax chooses to drop to 13.6 for Vabs instead which is even more "gentle." That's why I got in there and changed it to 14.6 (now at 14.8 recent change) on mine that has the internal voltage pot.
http://www.iotaengineering.com/pplib/IQ4manual.pdf#search="IQ4"Of course it depends on your charging rate what the SOC is when that happens. Higher the rate, the lower the SOC as per normal. ( At my charging rate of 100/458 = 22% I get to Vabs at approx. 72% SOC as you can see in the graphs.)
I don't know if there is unusual voltage drop in my connections or not, but I get full amps from the converter--about 103a for the "100 amper" so I don't care :) The voltage spreads I get are from the digital meter at the converter terminals vs at the battery posts.
